About her
I am nice, kind, quite normal, generally happy, have a big heart and love a cuddle.
I have lots of interests & hobbies and like trying new things. My favourites activities are outdoors; picnics, circular walks in our lovely countryside to or from a tea room or nice pub, or exploring National Trust and English Heritage sites for the history, architecture and the gardens (with tea & cake in the cafe of course!). Creatively I like decorating, making things with fabric or yarn, and have recently restarted painting with watercolours. I enjoy listening to & making music. I love baking & cooking to share with friends & family - sitting round the table chatting and enjoying a home-cooked meal is such a lovely thing to do. I read a lot, easily losing track of time in the pages of a book, and I tend to listen to the radio rather than watch television. I am not a fan of football, I’ll do something else while you watch. I love rugby though.
I have a big smile, many freckles and the colouring that goes with them - no sunbathing for me! I am nearly average height and have rather nice curves (I like them anyway!). I enjoy feeling fit & healthy and go to classes at the gym, walk, swim & ride my bike for exercise. My daughter gave me this ringing endorsement, “Looking good for your age Mum!”.
I'm gradually easing my way into retirement - I have been a special needs teacher for my whole career, which I love.
Things I don’t like; spiders! I am not brave about them and will need rescuing from them. Arguments, lies, unfairness, being teased, people who sulk. Fish; on my plate that is, live ones swimming are fine.
I can dress up for special occasions and need to look fairly smart for school. At home I'm most likely in shorts, jeans and a t-shirt or a dress because they’re comfortable and pretty.
