About him
I'm a completely normal, pleasant, thoughtful, honest and light-hearted man who is passionate about playing sport and environmental matters . My name is Damian.
I am reasonably intelligent (hate saying that) and I have lots of hobbies which keep me busy and I usually wake up with something I am really looking forward to doing. But hobbies aren't enough to live life to the full and I would like someone to share discussion, activities, feelings, evenings, meals, holidays and life in general with; in summary a partner and a lover.
My main passions are tennis and racketball but a slightly dodgy knee means its better if I play on alternate days. On other days I swim, cycle or walk. My only car is purely electric. So if you call me at short notice and invite me for a romantic evening then you may well find me without enough charge if you too far away. I would cycle if you can wait though....
As non-sporting activities I enjoy reading (books and The Times) , theatre, opera, cinema, learning French with others and pub quizzes ( I run a monthly quiz at the local squash club where I am on the committee), Radio 4 (selected – can't stand Melvyn Bragg's pretentious twaddle) and watching football.
I have been on 5 TV quiz shows without troubling the prizegiver. One day....
I'm very eco but don't impose my practices. If you want my very generous presents to you wrapped up in beautiful wrapping paper then fine. But hopefully you would humour me by wrapping mine in magazine paper -yes really!
I had a reasonably succesful career in the pharmaceutical industry as a manager of statisticians.

An intelligent, easy going, independent, thoughtful, caring light-hearted lady to share life and discussions. Ideally you'd live within 60 miles so we can see each other regularly. You don't have to be sporty or slim but I'd hope we could do some country walks. I'm not looking for a clone of myself but some overlap with a couple of my interests would be good - interest in current affairs, quizzes, Radio 4 listening , theatre/cinema and speaking French. A tennis player or cyclist and/or football watcher would be a nice bonus but don't worry if not. Different hobbies are always good especially if they include gardening which I absolutely hate – feel free to do mine! Likewise you don't need to be an environmentalist, but I'm not going to eat meat every night because of its carbon footprint! Someone who likes city breaks and European holidays.
