About him
I have enjoyed a varied, successful, academic and professional career. I’m an out-going person with many interests. Music has been a life-time activity, playing trombone and double bass in jazz bands, dance bands and symphony orchestras. I read books and journals, having a library of over 3000 - house in danger of collapse!! I enjoy keeping fit, being a racing cyclist in my younger days. Have 2 sons, a daughter and 8 (yes 8) grandchildren, none living locally. We are nevertheless a close family. I have travelled widely in Europe (France, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Czechoslovakia), Africa, Australia, Canada, NZ, Russia, & China. Photo in Canada shows me and my motorbike in the Rockies. This adventure was 10 weeks on the road covering 9669 miles including a lonely 4000 mile diversion to Dawson City, Klondike, Yukon in minus 20 degrees C at times. I enjoy writing and have had 3 books published with appropriate ISBNs. Currently writing a 4th.

An attractive lady who is intelligent and can hold a good conversation on a wide variety of subjects. I would hope that she has a spontaneous sense of humour and not afraid to laugh when the occasion arises - hopefully that’s often. A moody, introspective lady would not suit my character.
