I'm a happy, outgoing person, fairly new to the area, working at a university. I spend a lot of my weekends ankle deep in cold mud on my allotment. I am a voracious reader. I have a thing for weird subtitled crime dramas on Walter Presents, so I can pretend I speak Flemish. I like exercise but I'm bad at it; I'm a persistent beginner runner but I'm so slow I get overtaken by the couch. I also used to be a local councillor, which ate my life, and I've not quite recovered. I'm Labour, but can't stand Jeremy Corbyn. Please don't make me talk about this; I start twitching.

I'd like to meet someone who likes to laugh and is very relaxed about all the rest. I'd like to have someone to hang out with - whether doing something daft at the weekend (I'm a big fan of random local events, but it's much more fun to watch tractor pulling with someone else), or kicking back and eating pizza while watching strange Flemish crime dramas (this is not a deal breaker I promise).
