About him
Having attempted retirement four times in my life, I have finally perfected it and I am now enjoying a good life. However, It would be so much better if I could share it with that special person.
I am told I am personable and I am confident, quite laid back, and have a good sense of humour, quite often aimed at myself.
Having worked and lived abroad for the latter part of my life has taught me to be tolerant and respectful of different cultures.
I spent some time in the USA but lived mostly in the Far East; Singapore, Japan, and South Korea.
I love keeping fit. I regularly play tennis and racketball, I also enjoy cycling (in nice weather) and dancing, (in any weather).
My music tastes vary from 50's / 60's for my swing jive dancing to Louisiana Blues for relaxing with a glass of red and a good book.
In my quieter moments, I am writing my life story, (mainly for my grandchildren, who have no idea what an unusual life I have lived).
I also enjoy evenings out at the theatre, and just love musical shows such as "Lipstick on your collar." The atmosphere with everyone dancing in the aisles was amazing.
About his ideal match
The lady I am looking for, hopefully for a long-term relationship, will not live too far from me, in order to give the relationship a chance.
She should be a nonsmoker who is slim, and fairly attractive. However, I read somewhere that "Beauty doesn't die with age, it just moves from the face to the heart" So a thoughtful and romantic lady, would be my ideal.
As for deal breakers, I am not fond of self-opinionated people, negativity, or extreme politics. Apart from that anything goes.
