About her
I love travelling and am not afraid to journey alone but a travel companion would make the journey more interesting. Yet I’m equally happy at home. I do have female friends but I miss male company at times.
I’m a good listener with a sense of humour. I enjoy theatre, musicals and ballet but I’m equally happy curled up on the sofa with a good book or film.
I love to eat out but I’m happy cooking and baking in my own kitchen.
My hobbies include knitting, crochet, amateur dramatics, writing, puzzles, card and board games. I’m a trustee for some local charities so my week days are pretty full.
Walking, swimming and pilates are my ways to relax and stay fitter. I’m definitely fitter this year than last and ready for longer distance walks now. I’ve lost well over a stone since Christmas when most of my photos were taken. Are you the man to sort out my blister plasters and put the sun screen on my back where I can’t reach? I’m happy to do the same for you.
Talking is better than arguing. I abhor violence in any form. My ideal man would always show respect for others and help them if he could.
I had a very special relationship with my late husband but that’s not to say love couldn’t enter my life again.
My friends say I’m fun to be with and that I’m extremely kind and caring. I don’t suffer fools gladly though. Honesty in a relationship is so important. If I thought a relationship wasn’t working, I would never ‘ghost’ as that is cruel. Better to leave as friends.
If you are into literature/movies, I think it’s fair to say I’m a cross between Bridget Jones and Elizabeth Bennett. Surely there’s a Darcy out there?

My ideal match would be honest and a good friend. He would be an entertaining speaker and compassionate listener. Someone who would accept that I’m a bit of an extrovert at times yet shy at others. Loving travel would be a bonus. Honesty above all else.
I’m not over fond of facial hair. It looks nice but it can be scratchy. Sorry.
