About her
I'm told I'm a bright and kind person who is fun to spend time with. I am restoring an old house and when not wielding a paint brush I enjoy exploring - places, ideas, people. I also do some consulting and am a trustee for a charity. People generally like my cooking and I like cooking for them. I'm an avid reader and love theatre, galleries, concerts and walking (especially in the city). I read almost any newspaper put in front of me! I now live in the country - but am never tired of London.
I retired a few years ago from a very busy job which involved a lot of travel especially to the US. Now I'm enjoying having more leisure time with friends and family. It would be great to spend some of it with someone special too.

I'd like to meet someone who is bright, energetic and interested in life and has the time to spend forging a new friendship.
It would be good to have some interests in common, but experience has taught me that friendships and deeper relationships are often more about values than particular hobbies. A deal breaker for me would be dishonesty. Oh! And I really don't like spiders - so no arachnophiles please.
