About her
I live in a small village in rural Wiltshire.
My friends tell me that I’m a fun-loving and kind person, have a zest for life with a good sense of humour and I can equally laugh at myself.
I am a curious beast by nature and am always interested to meet new people and hear their stories.
Traditional qualities such as honesty, integrity and good manners are very important to me. Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself.
I ran a business for 30 years and retired a few years ago and am loving the independence that has brought me.
I love spending time in my woodland planting bulbs, clearing and trying to establish a wildflower meadow … last year I installed a shepherds hut and like nothing better than sitting by the woodburner with a good book and preferably a glass of something Red or bubbly or a delicious mug of soup from my trusty thermos.
I am pretty active and walk my dog daily, often meeting up with friends for a chat and am getting back in to tennis after not having played for some time.
I read a lot of books and try and follow world events but equally try not to get too addicted to the current world conflicts.
I started learning Spanish in lockdown and continue to have weekly lessons often combined with trying out new tapas dishes!
I have a strong connection to a local charity for which I volunteer and this takes up a day or two a week.
Music is important to me and I love listening to anything from African to classical to Tina Turner.
I love gardening and spend many a happy hour tussling with nature , attempting to grow edible vegetables and beautiful sweet peas…. Not always succeeding!
