About him
I work hard at everything I do but don't take life too seriously and like to laugh at everything along the way, myself included. I value (and hopefully offer) qualities such as honesty, kindness, good communication and a positive and (healthily) ambitious outlook. Above all I believe in doing the right thing.
I am very active and keep in good shape. I have done marathons in various cities around the world and have now also done four Ironman triathlons. But I also adore great food and wine and am happiest in the kitchen cooking something special with a nice glass of wine.
I play the piano (for almost 40 years now…!). I also play the organ at church. I like various music but classical is part of any day.
I have three grown-up daughters that I have been a full-time single parent to for a long time. I have plenty of spare time now, and that has also allowed me to take on various voluntary roles which are very rewarding.
I'm fascinated by foreign places, and love to read about the history of where I go and to learn some of the language. I lived in Munich for five years and worked around the world whilst there. I love the outdoors and, summer or winter, the Alps are a magical place. I have been lucky to see a lot of the world so far, but most of it remains unexplored and I plan to see as much of it as possible. I'd really love you to come too!
