About her
I am creative and have wry/witty sense of humour. I’m generally an optimistic and an upbeat person who enjoys engaging in good conversation over any topic that isn’t too divisive. When I am not dabbling in oil paints, or sculpting, or writing, I enjoy going to the theatre, learning French, watching a good film, keeping fit and travelling abroad … especially to France. Like most people I usually like to relax with a good book, in my case - fiction (genre depending on the kind of mood I’m in at the time) …I’m currently into espionage thrillers (having read all of Mick Herron’s Slough House novels), cosy crime, comedy, magic realism. I also enjoy gardening, playing chess and tinkling on the piano.

I’m looking for someone who’s comfortable, confident and kind. Who doesn’t take himself seriously and has a witty sense of humour. Someone who I can laugh and enjoy life’s quirks with. After all, laughter is the greatest aphrodisiac, or so they say. He would need to have a keen interest in art and literature and a desire, with some success, in keeping himself healthy and fit. It’s impossible to say what makes a relationship work. If I knew that, I would be in one … but if his interests and sense of humour are the same as mine - that would be a good start. If he enjoys travel, country walks, and could share a creative and/or sporting activity (writing, music, tennis, horse-riding, cycling) that would be great and if he spoke French or was keen to learn that would be an added bonus. A deal breaker for me would be any form of prejudice or extremist views.
