Well, who'd a-thought we'd land up here?
I enjoy socialising, but with a background interesting task, e.g. a repair cafe, bowls, social dance, backstage, volunteering in the inevitable charity shop, zero-hours invigilating. I have a curious mind and obsessed with learning something each day, whether in lively conversation or 'private study'. R3 rather than R4, but with a selection of BBC podcasts and Chante France.
Missing equatorial climes (I lectured in Papua New Guinea, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe), and flying (PPL). Now I've downsized, but there still seems to be flat and car maintenance to do. Not adverse to a warm footpath walk.
Age is 'just a number', it is said. Everything still works: no medication (to the amazement of Covid vaccination nurses!), nothing fallen off, two cataracts done, own teeth and hair; so that, I - like you - do not need any 'looking after': we have family to decide that.
Pictures taken within a year or so; the indoor ones are in the shop (Swazi emblems, worn for a specific purpose), or my abandoning bell ringing, or in my workroom. Profile taken recently.

What (do I now think) I would like from you?
Tactile, romantic, practical. Proactive rather than reactive; likes a quiet life but needs stimulation and exploration. Be the (unconscious) catalyst I seem to need. Expects mutual respect. A partnership: I bring stuff, you bring stuff. Some interests in common, and others different so we'd both learn new things. You'd be located either nearby or near-in-time by train; being 'more of a ship than a port', I'd travel. And be modern in not being shy of contacting me .
