Who I think I am:
It’s a bit “I am….I am….” but that’s the whole purpose.
My best pastimes are active, being immersed in nature. I like walking and talking, medium and long walks, sometimes challenging ones, and ditto with cycling.
I run 5K twice a week and go to the gym to keep healthy and resist ageing. I mostly eat with health in mind. I am fit and healthy and I do not want a belly.
I enjoy shared pastimes but I’m not convinced they are essential. I like to support and encourage my partner’s interests and find this can be as fulfilling as doing my own thing.
I am upbeat and purposeful, driven by enjoying most things and being active. I also enjoy doing nothing, particularly sitting around in a cafe, observing the world and being fascinated by those around me. I am in tune with and respond to architecture and interiors.
I like people. I am kind and do not carry prejudices, anger or hate. I like being among happy people.
I play guitar and sing. I can plonk on the piano.
I go fairly regularly to concerts, talks, festivals and art exhibitions, etc. I’m always open to something new.
I was a chartered surveyor, and still do a little consultancy work.
