Lifelong interests include literature, theatre and the arts, walking, swimming, singing, travel, friends and family. I have 2 adult sons and 2 grand children.
Since Covid, I try to spend a few months in France each summer. Travel has always been very important to me and something I have always done a lot of, far and near, as well as hosting people in my own home. I would describe myself as a citizen of the world.
I enjoy discovering hidden corners of London or pretty much anywhere, including for free or on a shoestring. I like anything with coconut and/or fresh lime juice, sitting round the firepit in the garden on a summer's evening with a glass of wine, or any film/play with Juliette Binoche.
I scribble a bit. Quite a lot these days actually.
I've ticked a fair few things off my must see and do list. Although there's more travel, singing and so on to do, sometimes I find it's the little things about downtime at home with a partner that I miss, like cooking and eating together, sharing a bottle of wine, someone making me a cup of coffee etc etc. If pushed, I would say that those are the sorts of things that it's easy to take for granted, the things that you don't know you've got til they're gone (sounds like a song?).
Having said that, I do need time to myself in my own space to recharge my batteries from time to time, and so I'm most likely to be looking for a stable live apart together type relationship.

Mutual support is important to me.
Some common interests are always a good starting point, but I'm interested in learning about a potential new partner's interests too, and might enjoy exploring a new activity or writer or place.
