About her
I was recently described by my brother as "one of life's encouragers". I care deeply about my family and friends, and do my best for them. I am interested in many things, particularly music, foreign languages and linguistics, history and science. I am currently pursuing a distance-learning course in Ancient Greek and recently went on a fabulous tour of Ancient Greek cities in the Pelopponese. In terms of sports, I enjoy walking, even in the rain, and tried rowing for a few months, which I loved, but found a little too strenuous. In one sense, my outlook on life could be summed up as "passion keeps you alive". In another, it could be "stoicism is the best policy". In short, I am a bit of a contradiction in terms!

I am looking for an intelligent and educated man with whom I can share my many passions and interests. A strong sense of humour and the capacity to put things into perspective are also qualities I admire. Add to this a strong dose of kindness, a calm and reassuring disposition, and charm if not good looks, and there you have my hero!
