About him
Mild mannered, intelligent, highly educated, emphatic softly spoken with a soft Irish lilt and a wicked sense of humour. Widowed with a 30 year old daughter living in London, whom I visit regularly and do 'stuff' together.
I like intelligent, witty and honest conversation, informative podcasts/good books (to give a different perspective), running, cycling, nature walks, classical music and great movie scores, and dancing (maybe if 2 left feet permitted)
I dislike wickedness in all its forms, deceit, brash and loud behaviour, self-centred types, and those without any moral compass.
For relaxation, I run (or volunteer at staged runs), read or half-read far too many books, watch documentaries or dramas depicting real events or the occasional piece of escapism. Intrigued by how history and its new interpretations constantly informs current events, and that includes the Bible, I look for new twists on old stories. I tend to my mature garden with my very immature fingers when needed and take pleasure in the frequent visits by foxes, squirrels and pigeons. Brisk walks with close friends with lots of thought-provoking chats is a regular delight.
To keep me out of mischief, I own two businesses, one is a small school and the other is a tech start-up.
