To campers, caravanners, backpackers, and those whose politics lean to the left, we're probably not a match . . . I wish you well but best to clear the air before setting the scene . . . I'm not shutting the door to anyone but I'll be elsewhere when you're out on the range.
I do mucky boots and city suits, pub grub and à la carte. I enjoy good conversation . . . great conversation, walks, pottering about and laughter. I’m a planner with random bursts of spontaneity who appreciates the arts, history, beautiful buildings, a lover of animals and the wonders of nature. An ever curious mind, avid reader, sometimes painter . . . god help the art world !!
Born in the North, seasoned in the South, I’m a free-marketeer with a social conscience. I wear life’s scars with pride and always carry a smile. I’m relaxed and at ease with the world, happy to muck in and to muck out. More ex-sporty than sporty these days but do keep myself fit and retain my have-a-go attitude to any challenge.
Turned 69 . . . that age came with a good dose of honesty and a pile of crude birthday cards. My ways are deeply rooted and I’m not looking to reinvent myself but rather looking to complement a life with good company as I’d hope to complement others . . . and have a bloody good time on the way . . . next is the big 70 but I'm going to embrace it like I do everything else :)

BTW . . . I know my geographic radius states within 60 miles but 40 miles would be so much more realistic and 20 miles even better.
