Deep breath, here goes!
So this is how friends describe me: kind, honest, reliable, generous, lively, fun, witty, elegant, down to earth and a charming host!
I’ve had a great career in engineering which took me all over the world and now it’s my time to relax, travel and have fun as I retired in March. Although I do voluntary work chairing a couple of educational charities which keeps my enquiring mind whirring. Finding myself single at this stage of my life wasn’t part of the plan!
My happy place is by the water or driving through the countryside in the UK or abroad. I passed my powerboat licence last year but am really a sailor at heart. I love good food and wine whether it’s at home, in a country pub, fancy restaurant or even a bag of chips on the beach! I try to keep fit and enjoy walking and Pilates.
I also enjoy the culture of London - theatre, galleries, eating out - coupled with the peace of the Surrey countryside or Hampshire coast. I like the odd adventure too and recent trips have included Namibia, Arctic Circle and a few road trips across France, Switzerland and Italy!
I’m spirited and lively and get mischievous when I have too much time on my hands. Save me from starting another building project!
