Nice, intelligent guy with a creative streak and a dry sense of humour. I play a lot of tennis, with more enthusiasm than talent, I volunteered until recently for a community radio station, and I work part-time for an LGBT charity. Will be retiring soon I guess. I would love to find someone similar but a bit younger, intelligent, and with an open heart. I have a calm personality and hate conflict. I like Radio 4 and Scandi-noir dramas on BBC4 and I can speak French reasonably fluently.

My ideal match would be intelligent and kind-hearted, possibly working in a caring profession or in the public sector generally. He will appreciate the simple joys of life including friendships, nature, cooking, gardens, literature and music. He might have spiritual feelings of some kind, but will not be dogmatic about them. He will look for the best in people rather than for opportunities to criticise. He will probably not be much interested in shopping, fashion or antiques. He might have a pet.
