About him
Life is full of opportunity and fun if you want to go for it. I'm a keen skier, enjoy real tennis and love to watch the big sporting occasions, especially rugby and cricket. I like going out for dinner (but struggle with raw fish and vegetarian) either with friends or a quiet night for two. Cinema and theatre are good fun too, but the engineer in me fights with ballet and opera. Although I can be taken anywhere (not shopping), I usually prefer the country to the city. I love formal occasions, quiet nights in, a few beers at the pub, a glass of wine in the evening with a film.
I love my work, but as a freelance management consultant I can control my time much more. Between contracts, I enjoy trips away and other things like courses
Apart from being tall, dark (once)and handsome, I have a dry sense of humour and read widely on current affairs, business, environment. I love The Economist, which I read from cover to cover every week. The Internet is a boundless source of interesting stuff for someone who likes what's new and smart.
I chose the profile name because I don't always like the beaten track or the obvious solution - I prefer to do things my way after doing some research and thinking. I'm a bit old fashioned about some things - marriage and family, friends, duty, work and saving, political correctness, etc. I am also a practising Christian. I try to do these things without making a fuss, but won't negotiate about them. If none of this is a problem, then let's meet for a coffee or lunch....
