About her
This is quite difficult but I will do my best to give a broad brush of what makes me who I am. I am an outgoing and thoughtful person who is hopefully, discerning. I strongly dislike arrogance, and narrow-mindedness, but value kindness and those who listen to a point of view different from their own.
I enjoy being outdoors whatever the weather, especially if it is in the hills or by water.
Theatre and film are some of the things I enjoy. My taste in music is eclectic. Most of all, I like doing things that present opportunities to experience something or somewhere different. I enjoy cooking and can usually rustle up a good meal - a glass of good wine will help. My usual style is casual; a pair of jeans and sweater, but for the right occasion I can up my game.
My two children have grown and flown and are happily established in their respective but different careers. I look forward to spending time with them to catch up with what is happening in their busy lives.
I enjoy travel and experiencing different cultures. Honesty and integrity are important qualities in any person and I hope I can say that they are an intrinsic part of me. Whilst I enjoy being sociable, I am equally happy in my own company but probably not for long periods of time. I have a good sense of humour; one that verges on the absurd at times...There it is.

An ideal match, if there is such a thing, would be someone who is straightforward, intelligent, warm and adventurous: someone who laughs easily and who can stop me taking myself too seriously. I value independent thought and would like to meet someone who might appreciate that in a partner. Being in a relationship of equals is important, in which differences can be expressed without being the cause of falling out. It would be good to find a trusted best mate in every sense of the word, someone who is fun and spontaneous but someone who respects the need for individual space too.Someone who can cook and enjoys cooking together over good conversation and a glass wine would be great start.
