About him
Apparently I've a great sense of humour and can see something amusing in most situations, which passes the time in supermarket queues. Decided to try this method as no longer venture to discotheques (do they still call them that ?) as music too loud and I can only dance the waltz. A confirmed TOG (ask if you don't know although sadly it is no longer heard on R2), prefer countryside to city, enjoy long walks, polite company, cricket and rugby. Football only when Newcastle playing (it's mandatory as I'm from Northumberland). Prefer listening to music and have an eclectic music collection. Cannot stand Big Brother type programs and despair of the "celebrity cult" in this country. Play the piano (rock, pop and pub songs etc). Currently learning Freebird and several Pogues tracks but also revisiting Meat Loaf tracks. Enjoy travelling - I need Bangladesh to complete the Test Match venues for the England cricket team -and also like exploring the UK, happily pouring over a map to see what's around. Able to cook with Cajun being my favourite area to practice but enjoy doing a roast or a venison casserole. Lockdown has provided time to practice on various accompaniments as well. Other than that, laid back and easy to get on with, old style approach to treating people with respect and enjoying the craic. As cricket retirement has arrived, golf is being enjoyed and I am considering taking up clay pigeon shooting next year having tried it a few times at Game Fairs.
Ideal day out would be walking boots on, canny walk and a pub at the end (or part way round) for a celebratory pint.

Won't be offended if I hold a door open for her as I'm a firm believer in courtesy and good manners. A preference for the outdoor life and just as comfortable in walking boots and jacket as in a restaurant, wine bar or country pub. Other than that, I don't really have a specific "type" as it really is about the chemistry and getting along like a house on fire. Must like laughing at appalling jokes and puns. I struggle with tolerating the traits of jealousy and cynicism though, and can't stand the celebrity culture which appears to be growing. Wouldn't know a Kardashian if I tripped over one and quite happy with that situation.
