About him
I’m currently renting out my flat in London (I’m unlikely to return there) and am travelling and living in my motorhome but I’m currently in Devon for some weeks, helping a friend in and around their house.
Let’s see where this nomadic lifestyle leads me to, but I’ll be happy enough to put down roots if and when I’m moved to.
I'm young and energetic for my age, light and bright and positive minded, free flowing. I can be mischievous with a playful streak, irreverent and a little unconventional.
I skip and dance and play. I sometimes like to tease and test people in a warm way, to stretch them gently towards their limits ...... and mine too.
It's a while, though, since I've been some of these things. Hence why I'm on this site!
I can also be serious and sensitive and I'm told that I'm supportive and that I can be challenging when necessary.
I'm warm and open and I'm a good listener.
My work has mainly been in social work but I'm happy to now be be retired. I enjoy my leisuretime interests and may volunteer again in the future
I love animals, nature and walking in the countryside (probably visiting the occasional pub or coffee house along the way. Or flask and picnic and view.)
I enjoy travel, reading and writing, sports, games, arts and crafts, music, reading and writing, LSE talks, carefully chosen TV.
I'm not religious and I may be a little out of the flow of it at the moment but I've followed various spiritual pathways throughout the years (Krishnamurti, Buddhism, Pema Chodron, Eckhart Tolle, Practical Philosophy, Brahma Kumaris, Jerry Jampolsky ..........)
I enjoy my memories and I plan and look forward to the future but I also try to be here and now and to live in the present. I enjoy and benefit from meditating occasionally.
I'm well travelled in Europe but don't think that we necessarily need to go far at all. I often delight in the small and simple things and I believe that joy and beauty are all around us if we can just be receptive to it.

Life and relationships are, of course, unpredictable and more of an art than a science! However .............
I'm often content and happy with my life as it is but I'd be very pleased if I happened across a delightful woman and a special relationship through this website. (I’d be happy to do most of the travelling when we first meet. In the longer term, although I currently still have a flat in London, I’d be happy to relocate to wherever the heart takes me.)
I’ve sometimes settled for very good and steady relationships but I'm now looking for a deep and special connection with a rest-of-life partner.
Life can be full of surprises but, as much as I can imagine my “Ideal Match” she’d be ………..
An attractive woman who I like as a person and a friend and who I also have a chemistry with. As well as being warm and open and supportive she’ll hopefully also be energetic and playful, and open and honest and gently and steadily direct.
She’ll hopefully have a good range of interests and enjoy travel but will also recognise that home life is the important base to everything else.
She’ll have some interest in spirituality and will be tactile, sensual and sensuous. Considerate and attentive and able to see the humour in everyday situations.
