Entertaining, sometimes funny, occasionally witty, if mildly eccentric at times. In addition to almost all country pursuits, like all the usual stuff such as music, theatre, film, opera, art galleries, architecture, racing, infrequent and indifferent kitchen-table bridge, economics, history, gardening and trying new restaurants. Conversation and mere chatter are both essential ingredients but am equally happy reading a book.
Briefly practised as a consultant civil engineer before spending rest of career arranging finance for major capital projects which took me all over the world (some ghastly and some wonderful places) although I was always based in either New York or London. There remains much to be seen especially within Europe. Living in big cities no longer enthralls but still like to visit them from time to time for both culture and play.
Do my utmost to be considerate and to maintain personal and professional integrity at all times without taking myself too seriously.
