About him
I am open, totally honest and sincere, with integrity, quite selfless and almost totally-giving (often over-generous!). A 'people' person - I love helping people, am very caring, loving, and sensitive. I am completely anti-PC (political correctness is no substitute for old-fashioned manners and values)! I have a wicked and incorrigible sense of humour - I can tease gently (but not at another person's expense) but there is always a twinkle in my eye!
I am a spiritual person with a deep love of Nature, the countryside, a wild coast, the wind and the rain. I love history, historical buildings, archaeology, pre-war motoring, and a host of other things - walking in the country, woods & forests, old country pubs, having dinner in front of an open log fire with friends. For several years my life has been quite chaotic; now I want to be able to relax with a special person to enjoy reading, and shared interests in music (most types!), opera, theatre, and some of the above!
I have had a varied and interesting life (former banker, expeditioner, conservationist, publisher, local government [inc. more conservation!]. I miss sharing wonderful (and some more mundane!) experiences with a special person. Someone who shares my values and spirituality, and, of course, there must be an attraction and a mutual spark between us.
I describe myself as a non-smoker because I am not a cigarette smoker but I do enjoy an occasional pipe (sadly, only two or three times a year now!). My tobacco comes from Denmark and is flavoured with Highland Cream whisky - I have yet to find someone who doesn't like its beautiful aroma!
Finally, the photo of my car was taken in the 70s. Purchased in 1966 from its original owner, outside Welshpool, the car went to a wonderful firm of restorers in 2014 who restored the chassis and bodywork to an even better condition than when new! Restoration sadly has stalled for the time being. (All photographs of me taken in the last few decades!!)
