About him
Widowed in 2020 after being my wife's carer for over fifteen years. Would now welcome some female companionship - not looking for anything deep, but a pleasant friendship would be nice. I'm retired from working in IT. I love music (mostly "classical"), singing (great joy, was very important to me - I've been privileged to sing some wonderful opera roles on the amateur stage, though I've given it up now), walking, old buildings, art galleries, theatre, words, books, language, reading (both silent and aloud - I occasionally do a bit of semi-pro audiobook narrating and voice acting, and am involved with the local Talking Newspaper), loafing (expert!),... I don't much like smoke, noise, crowds, cooking, housework, intolerance (except of course my own (as if!))... I'm reasonably good-looking, quiet for the most part but like a laugh... A slight scoliosis of the spine doesn't seem to have bothered people...
Oh and ... if you absolutely can't bear the thought of socks with sandals, that could be a problem...
P.S. As regards the 'Honesty' question at the end of the profile, if it offered the answer 'This is a silly question' I'd have chosen that one. If I tell you I'm honest I could be lying, couldn't I. Honest is as honest does.
