About him
I am fit and active and fairly intelligent. I think it important to use both my mind and body to the full. I have had some interesting experiences. My chief interests are horse riding and archaeology. I would like some one to share my activities with, especially on holiday. I would like company going to concerts and plays. Also for a horse riding holiday in France, maybe next year. I like creating things, I was an IT professional in my career, and am still too heavily involved in writing a family tree program, which has turned into a sort of frankenstein's monster with a life of its own. I keep thinking I have finished it, but then it gives me another complicated idea to resolve. In the past I constructed an oak timbered porch to my previous house, in which I took great pride in using what I believed to be traditional methods, and I only used metal to join the porch to the house and to fix the light in place. I am now in the process of building a rustic wood shelter with a shingle roof, using even more old fashioned methods, not even a band saw nor a shaving horse. I just split the shingles with a traditional froe and smooth them off with a hand axe. A froe is sort of splitting wedge with a handle.
I often read the reviews of theatre and concerts in the national press and wish that I lived in London, where most things seem to happen.
