About him
I'm rather too modest to spend a lot of time on this section just now, so maybe I should just say that I believe I might be (literally, like) "good in parts" and that I'd hope there's enough that you may find me interesting. And that's about my adjective (or should that be abjective?) limit - much beyond that rests on the opinion of others.
Update: Maybe it's time I added a bit to this once I get clear (pressing workload!). Back soon.

In an attempt to add a little clarity, I suppose you could say I'm understated. Content in my simple triumphs, I'm not much bothered about evident personal achievements although like to maintain some successes in my life so long as they are not to the detriment of other people. It feels good when things are mutual, beneficial and perhaps better when the balance favours others. It's not good to take anyone for granted and it's understandable that no-one would wish to feel that way, me included.
Oh wonderful, the system has just signed me out and the two following paragraphs have vanished into the ether. Isn't technology annoying sometimes! They were good too... :-(

A thought... In answer to the question "Is the glass half full or half empty?" should not the proposed answer be 'Which glass?' rather than 'What glass?'.

Someone unpretentious (yet naturally tasteful and stylish), happy with their achievements (especially the simple ones!), comfortable with their situation (but not complacent), a person with some life experience, a point of view, some understanding and perception that they would like to share and which might provide a grounding for some mutual enlightenment. Someone who is as content to receive as they are enthusiastic to give. Subtle and forbearing, gentle and tactile. Intelligent, imaginative and grounded but playfully fanciful when the occasion suits.
Oh, and someone who knows how to chill because doing nothing much once in a while is not a waste of time, it's a pleasure to be savoured and shared.
An epilogue of sorts. I'm always amused by those who write 'I love good food and wine', and suchlike, as if a reader was expecting a liking of the bad variety. The insightful 'life is for living' is another of my favourites. And so to anyone who pens 'I love life' I ask what is the alternative?
Postscript: Someone kindly wrote to me and proposed that someone claiming to love good food suggested a degree of discernment as most people just choose restaurants for ambience. Really? Well, fancy that, we live and learn. I guess it goes along with the trend of favouring wine by the name of the grape variety, an odd practice seemingly stemming from current marketing strategies rather than meaningful necessity. Still, it can't get much worse than the craze for Prosecco can it? Oh...
