About her
I'm an attractive woman, open, warm-hearted, spontaneous, energetic and adventurous, with a good sense of humour. I also have a strong sense of justice; I trained as a nurse and for eleven years I worked until recently with an international Humanitarian aid agency. One of my past assignments was in Colombia, running river clinics to remote, indigenous communities in areas controlled by guerilla groups. And recently I worked a lot with Syrian refugees in Turkey and Jordan, providing basic health care. My latest assignment was 6 months in Yemen, working with people displaced by the conflict. With the arrival of Covid I decided to make that my last project, feeling ready to call it a day and spend more time at home. However, I found too much time at home a challenge, and have just bought a VW camper van - ready for new and different adventures!
I've lived all over the world, mainly in Latin countries, where I enjoyed the warmth and spontaneity of life. I also enjoy walking - or boating - in the wilder parts of the British countryside, mountains and moors, rivers and lakes. I've always been drawn to travel to remote places, exploring: the Trans-Siberian and a RIB trip on the Orinoco River are recent memorable examples; and I've been lucky enough to help crew on friends' yachts in places as far afield as the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea.
But also I always look forward to relaxing with a good book, sitting in the sunshine reading the Sunday papers, or enjoying a glass of wine in front of a log fire, with good company. London's vibrant culture and energy also appeal to me and I visit it regularly.
All these experiences would be more enjoyable if shared, and I would love to meet someone who shares my enthusiasm for life, and would also enjoy the intimacy of quieter moments.

As I've lived all over the world, I feel I would have more in common with someone who has also travelled widely and likes the idea of exploring the world together.
