I'm active, attractive(ish), articulate, & affectionate. I value the physical & emotional comfort & security of a committed relationship, in which excitement and contentment co-exist; and having someone to share the experiences that give a relationship substance. Someone to share successes & failures with, and feel better for it either way. Someone to go home with, or to, after an outing; and wake up with the next day. Someone to share the desire of a kiss that promises so much more.
I've always been physically active and competitive, but I have to recognise I'm slowing down now. These days it's usually: tennis, walking, cycling, dancing or holiday sailing; no longer football or squash.
I took up Am Dram & Jive several years ago, and I was exploring other dances until covid changed everything. I play at learning to play piano, and am at best a beginner. I enjoy all the usual stuff as entertainment.
I find it difficult to describe my personality in sound bites. I exhibit various traits depending on mood and circumstances, but mostly I'm personable and well balanced. I have eclectic tastes, an irreverent sense of humour and an enquiring mind.
I've completed the transition from work to retirement, but I haven't yet found an alternative focus for my waking day; so I just do whatever seems a good idea next. Growing fruit gets more attention than before and I'm even considering returning to golf.
I look after myself, and I'm in good shape. Physical attraction is important to me, though of course that's only a start and never enough on its own.
I've enjoyed a range of relationships since my divorce many years ago, but although several became well established, none became the new life partnership I still hope to find. However, as there's no certainty in such things, I'd rather enjoy another relationship and risk it not surviving, than abandon hope. My need to love and be loved, and to find a partner to share my life with, is too great to ignore.
