About him
I've just taken a year out and spent ten months working for a Food Cycle food hub during which time we've delivered over 16,500 food parcels to those in need. It's given me a chance to re-assess my life and look at what I want to do. So I've retired. Or mainly retired as I now work with a mate refurbishing homes. But we work gentlemen's hours!
I quit the gym years ago and decided that it was far healthier to get out and about in the fresh air. As a consequence I've run a couple of half and full marathons, 10ks and then a couple of months ago I splashed out on a bike; I should have done it years ago its brilliant fun!
For my sins I'm a hockey umpire, play for the Vets and Chairman of the club. I'm not a fan of cold wet English winters but love skiing and would love someone to spend some Apres Ski time with.
Meeting clients on a regular basis has given me a little bit of perception into what makes us weird humans tick and I remain an eternal optimist that despite the doom & gloom of the last couple of years; everything will work out for the good in the end.
So whilst not a couch potato I do have a large selection of dvds (music and film) as well as original vinyl albums. Remember them? Music is a major passion and I've been to Download and Rewind (all those cheesy 80s bands that you thought had broken up) as well as managing to see 108 bands last year!.
With a south facing garden which gets the sun all day, I'm a dab hand at opening bottles of wine and fizz for a bbq and have started growing my own veg! Who said I was a philistine?
Being the oldest in a long standing group of friends is slightly odd, however I still have my own hair and teeth and no sign of a middle aged beer belly.
All pictures are definitely of me, all clothed and yes I have a firm belief that apostrophe should still play a major part in the English language.

Who are you? Well, not a clone that's for sure. However, I guess that it would help if we had an understanding of what makes each other tick, so if you'd like to be in the front row of the queue at Oblivion or at a concert, or sitting in the sun with a glass of wine people watching; then I'd hazard that we have a chance.
