Large number of interests. I work hard so I my aim is to relax well and to enjoy that relaxation.
I know this is a brief note, but will be happy to expand at a later time as I feel that to single out a few items would possibly imply some narrowness.
Main interests would be however be fairly noted as sport and music. I have travelled, lived, won and lost - sufficiently to realise there is no divine right to anything, you just have to treat life as a series of problems that will come your way whilst you try to live the life you want to, or would like to lead. With the right person that journey can be super. I am usually able to find optimism in dark times, and enjoy fully the good times, always I believe with a ready wit and an ability to see the ridiculous.
Although I am a self employed professional, I only reluctantly follow the rules and feel frustrated by the slavish obedience of my fellow members, but I dislike the rank disregard of good rules in general life by others. Others in my profession have called me a maverick and I am not annoyed at that.
I have two labradors and have nearly always had 2 dogs of that type. I detest animal cruelty and therefore I get a bit annoyed and sqeamish with raw nature programmes or issues. Injustice is one of the things that is almost guaranteed to get me going ....
Generally I am calm and laid back, but if my boundaries are pushed then I can get irritated. Depending on what is involved my natural wish is to keep away from people who are aggressive, as there are much better things to do than to be involved with personal conflict. I am comfortable with someone who disagrees with me on most subjects, but I dislike at my age someone who thinks I need my thoughts or actions require a lecture. This is basically because I am a good guy and any failings of mine are reasonably trivial. Btw ... if you are proud of having a poisonous jab, you are not the free spirit that is suitable

Attractive, intelligent, worldly, serious yet amusing, strong minded, genuine, autonomous, nice eyes and smile, alert, likes a challenge from time to time, mentally stable !! I think it important to have good coping mechanisms.
On a trivial level, I do not feel amazingly attracted to girls who wear sunglasses on their heads in the evening (why do they do that?) , or describe themselves as feisty. Heaven help me! And leggings are a turn off - as also are generally low heels, although to be fair I DO understand that high heels can mark the squash court, are difficult on a treadmill, and can get caught up in the duvet.
I dislike people who are pompous and I think that unnecessary jealousy is destructive. I also dislike negativity.
I respect people who are logical and who can talk through any issue calmly, and genuinely attempt to treat matters fairly.
