In Her Own Words

About her

OK - I tried the sensitive, serious profile - not a peep...

So I'm reverting to form...

Who am I? Well who knows. Perhaps one day when I grow up I will find out (but probably not!)

Why should you get to know me? Well because I am fabulous of course!

I spent the day cleaning the chicken poo out of the chicken-shed (naturally, not the kitchen! or the chickens!!) and trying (unsuccessfully) to unblock the brain (oops, freudian slip, I meant DRAIN, DRAIN!!!) from the kitchen so that I have a working dishwasher before I feed the 5000 on Christmas Day.

My car wouldn't start last night so that also took a bit of priority on this freezing Sunday. Luckily my mechanic son came over and fixed it (I knew there was a reason I had children), so don't panic, you don't need to buy me a new car!

I still have presents to buy for Christmas and I have not made any plans AT ALL for what I will feed everyone on Friday but I can't wait for them to all be here and they will have a feast fit for a king, cooked by my own fair hand.

There you go... that might give you some indication of the sort of person I am. Normal, happy, laid-back, irreverent, practical, intelligent, family oriented and vaguely mad.

I don't spend "at least 4 times a week" in the gym, nor do I climb mountains at weekends or race camels for a living. I don't have a tan in winter (or in summer to be honest!), I don't do fake nails, boobs or anything else. However, on a positive note, I did discover last night that I can actually walk in killer heels again (since hurting my ankle a year ago) - so perhaps the body's not quite as derelict as I thought!

And I'm so much more comfortable with this rendition of "me" than the previous serious version.

About her ideal match

This is a toughie... Perhaps I should list all the things I miss not having a man in my life - and if you agree we may be on the same wavelength.

I miss... not having someone to hug/touch/cuddle/snuggle/snog/get up to mischief with.

I miss... not having someone to open the wine, hand out the beer, carve the meat and make the gravy when friends are around for dinner. Or, summer version... open the wine, hand out the beer, cook the meat, not eat the salad and wallow in the sun shooting the breeze when friends are around for a barby.

I miss... not having someone to make up flat-pack furniture

I miss... not having someone to check the oil in my car

I miss... not having someone to share ideas with, chat to, argue with about world issues, make a cup of tea for, go round Sainsbury's with, help chose Christmas presents, lose his keys, rub my back, rub their back, be there (just somewhere in the room) when you're out...

In short - I miss having someone to just be with.
