About her
I hope you would find me to be warm, open, thoughtful and positive.... but uncomfortable about self-promotion! I have a serious side, but also like to have fun. I am blessed with good friends, and i hope they would confirm that I am kind, empathetic and care about others. I am part of a happy and expanding family, and it plays a big part in my life.
My professional life was in education, and i still work part-time as a consultant. This has brought new challenges which i enjoy, and have not quite reached the point of stepping off the treadmill and becoming a full-time retiree - nearly there. I like having a sense of purpose, and hopefully making a contribution somewhere.
I very much enjoy and appreciate the arts, especially theatre and music, and it's important to me to be able to share this with a partner. I have lived abroad (mainly far East) and am, as they say, well-travelled - tents to 5 star!
I am happiest when with my family, socialising with friends, going out with my camera, being absorbed in a book, play or film. I enjoy photography, gardening, cooking and kitchen bridge.
