About her
I've flown solo for too long and would love to meet an up-beat soul to share the rest of my life with. I was born in the UK of Jamaican parents and maintain a strong connection with my heritage. Interest mainly centre around music, fashion, food and the arts in general. Oh, and I love to salsa, whenever the opportunity arises. Travelling is also a passion of mine and I've visited a number of countries for my previous career as a journalist. I have two (well-trained!) teenagers; one is in his first year at university and the other is due to follow suit later this year; hence the reason I've decided it's now time to find a soul mate. Friends say that I'm great company and very loyal, with a strong moral compass. I'm a Christian, attending church most weeks, but am not fanatically religious. However, I would like to meet someone who has a spiritual dimension to their life. Family is also very important to me and I like socialising with friends. My ideal mate will be family oriented, have a spring in his step and not be reticent about being openly romantic. He will also appreciate a woman who is caring, personable and has self-worth.
