About him
I am a contented, warm-hearted guy with an eclectic mix of interests. I am a scientist by training but tend to be creative and deep appreciation of the arts. The books on my shelves range from philosophy and psychology to Monty Python and music. Music is often playing in my house and it varies from pick-me-up bossa nova to chill-out classical. I live in the country and the sounds of nature (eg bird song) are also a good background music.
I work from home and I am flexible on location. In the past, have lived and worked abroad (Germany, USA, Paris) and work internationally, particularly with Swedes and Japanese, so some of this may have rubbed off on me. But it's all sunk in deep enough to realise that beauty, meaning, love, can be anywhere - including on your doorstep (which I realised long before lockdown!).
I like the outdoor life (walks or a light cycle ride in the countryside - with a lovely country pub perhaps), the culture cities have to offer (art house cinema, theatre, gigs, galleries etc), but am rarely bored indoors at home (Sunday papers with toast and tea, a bit of yoga, guitar playing, playing my congas, working my way quietly through those books and perhaps a bit of culinary creativity).
I just started doodling with abstract painting and I have - apparently - joined a band playing keyboards (I say "apparently" because I can 't play keyboards and the first gig is booked).
I like good discussions, laughter and I think kissing and cuddling are under-rated. Oh yes, and I also like dogs - the larger the better.
If the thought of dancing in Havanna bars or a romantic stroll through the streets of Florence floats your boat.....get in touch!!
If there are no deal-breakers, I prefer meeting reasonably soon as possible - opposed to a lot of emailing and texting. Just saying.
