About her
Things making me happy at the moment: 30 rock, taking photos and being 'arty farty' with lenses (as my nephew would have it), 'Barts' speakeasy (cocktails in teapots are the way forward!), Mary Portas, Danish dramas, fun times in Copenhagen as a result, awaiting delivery of my new bike & hoping I can remember how to work it, booking a trip to Milan to avoid the Jubilee, working as a volunteer at the Olympics, quality time with friends, ranting about Dave, Boris, money in football; She and Him, AFC Wimbledon, clothes (thou not their impact on my bank account). I love all things creative - design, architecture, books, fashion, photography, music. I think laughter (though sometimes vino or Fruhli) is definitely the best medicine, especially those times when everything stops, you are caught in the moment, and find yourself crying with laughter. I'm really lucky to have a close knit group of friends, and a great sister and nephew, all of whom are really important to me. I work as a teacher in NW London. I'm really passionate about it (though not in an irritating proselytising way, except when it comes to Gove's latest moment of idiocy!), but it's totally knackering, and I sometimes have a bit of a love-hate relationship with it. I teach languages and love visiting Italy in particular, but am trying to broaden my horizons, and would love to meet someone who'd like to head off on travels with me! Equally, I love London (=home) and try to make the most of it. Would be great to have new people to do that with!
Things that DON'T make me happy: not having enough time, the Tory Party, poor spelling, naked ambition, white socks, superficiality (unless sock-related...)
So do you want to join me for beers on a squidgy sofa in a cosy pub, indie gigs, afternoon cinema marathons, trips to exciting places in the sun, the odd drunken adventure, Sundays hanging out on the sofa with the papers?! Hope so!
