Well where do I start?? This is more difficult than I thought - I am not used to talking about myself.
I am quite a shy person and coming on here has been a 'big' decision to make. My son says that 'internet dating/friendship' is the way forward in the modern world. I hope he is correct ... well some of my friends have been successful!!! I have been on my own for a while and I suppose now is the time to try and find a soulmate to spend a few quality moments with.
I may be 'old' in age but I have a very young attitude to life... I dress young, think young and act young!!! All my friends are many years younger than I am and I get on much better with people younger than me than those nearer to my age.
It takes me a while to come out of my shell due to my shyness but once I gain in confidence I am quite a funny person and I am quite happy to laugh at myself and the silly things that I do. However, there is also a serious side to me.
I used to exercise and play sport regularly until I injured myself playing soft ball a few years ago, since then I have let myself go and got very out of shape and I am annoyed with myself as it is almost impossible to get back in shape now!!!
Friends say that I am a very generous, caring fun loving, happy go lucky type of person... if this appeals to you then please get in touch.

Someone who has a sense of fun and adventure and who can make me laugh.... I do not think that it is important that we share the same interests but laughter and fun is a good starting point.
The first meeting is important as 'first impressions' go a long way with me.. although sometimes I have got it completely wrong!!! A quiet bar for a coffee would be a good place for a first meet to have a chat and see how it goes.
