I am a very positive,friendly and outgoing person who likes to be active and see the funny side of life as much as possible. If you can make me laugh you definitely get lots of brownie points!
I would love to meet someone who shares some of my interests but also has their own. Someone who will enjoy sharing a social life together as well as those precious, peaceful, tender moments, just the two of us.... . I am an optimist at heart and am looking forward to having someone special in my life again. All work and no play makes for a dull time as they say.
Living in the Peak District means that I can make the most of the great countryside on my doorstep- walking the dog is a pleasure not a chore. I'm looking for someone who loves conversation about anything and everything, someone who is happy to be at home or out watching a play or film or seeing live music or comedy nights, (which I love doing). I like walking and swimming and am having a go at Zumba too - not quite like the women on the dvds yet! I enjoy watching most sports - love football,rugby and athletics.
I like all kinds of music and sing with DaleDiva which is great fun. I am looking forward to travelling more now my children are older and more independent. Lots of the world that I still want to see;even better to be with someone close to share those new experiences with.

Where to start? Well my idea match will be someone who holds honesty, integrity and reliable as their top character traits;someone who is fundamentally happy inside and shows it through their sense of humour and optimistic view of life - living for now. I would like to meet someone who values family life and enjoys their children, whether they are still at home or not. I am looking for someone who has a curious and adventurous spirit and wants to travel, whether that be in the UK or abroad. I want to meet a good communicator and a good listener with whom I can converse with ease on any topic; someone who still feels young inside no matter what the outside says, and is wiser for the experiences that life has offered so far.

My perfect day would involve us being woken up by the sunshine and sound of water outside, maybe the sea or a river or even a fountain. We would have a leisurely breakfast with the newspapers and radio and then take a walk to enjoy the outdoors/beach/countryside/coast. We'd stop for a light lunch and then maybe do something spontaneous or meet with friends for a chat. Then home for a bit of sofa time, followed by getting ready to go to the theatre or dinner or some other live entertainment, then back for a nightcap and...........
