In Her Own Words

About her

But I can see the sun in wintertime.

On first sight, I'm marmite: I come in a very feminine physical package, and am either to your liking or not. Most people I meet seem to like the look of me, the exterior is the first thing people encounter yet ultimately matters so little.

I'm naturally a bit of a perfectionist but over time have come to recognise what doesn't count in life. I can ditch the dross, but my expectations of the things that are important to me are always high. That means wanting the same things in life as a partner, having shared values and a common understanding from the outset. I am very incisive and evaluate things fast; the differential in the marketing and the reality tells me all I need to know about a person. I like being the boss in most aspects of life, relationships being the notable exception but I am inevitably too challenging for some.

I'm not going to reel off a list of mundane interests that would unite the majority of people: cinema, bars, music, dancing, good food, fine wine, blah-de-blah (((big yawn))). I want to understand what makes the universe tick! And how to solve its many problems. Saving humanity, that kind of thing. Not forgetting world peace. Oh and I love writing, comedy in the main, plays and there is still a novel or two in gestation. Being physically active is important to me too, although I have no interest in partaking in extreme sports or exposing myself to any kind of physical discomfort, especially not in a cold or wet environment. I'm okay in a warm swimming pool though.

I can confidently say that I am unlike any female you will have met. I'm not claiming to lead a wild double life or have lived a tawdry past. I'm just different, unpredictable and difficult to second-guess, that's all.

If we connect you will never be bored. My thought processes are a (m) psychiatrist's wet dream. ;)

About her ideal match

My ideal match would be dynamic and always be ready to step up to an appropriate challenge. I'd like to meet a person that has the self-confidence to be unashamedly themselves, who wishes to be supportively challenged and can offer the same in return. Those that are intimidated by a woman that knows her own mind can stop reading now, as can those who's profiles are constructed to be misleading in any way. The creativity on this site sometimes makes me chuckle. Is wilful duplicity now a societal norm - or are people just kidding themselves and extending the same courtesy to me?

Genuine compassion is a must; I cannot abide a mean spirit, or an envious nature. A similar level of intellectual curiosity is critical; I value intelligence and the ability to apply it rationally highly and just don't have the patience for a lesser man - please don't disappoint me with a lack of pragmatism or basic common sense! . I am a woman of science, and some of the cr*p people come out with would be lol funny if it came from a 5 year old. But rather more disturbing when uttered from the mouths of grown men.

I'm not particularly visual in my tastes but I am seeking the masculine, a man of action and not a bystander. Can you articulate effectively? Being well spoken raises my interest far more than the physical package - I'll take the thousand words over the masterpiece! That said, I am also fascinated by the way people style themselves to express their individuality. It just confirms that I like the conventional, and have no fondness for long or facial hair, piercings or (((shudders violently))) tattoos.

Whilst there's no shortage of the theoretically suitable, I should state my interest only in those with serious intentions, who'd like to go forth and multiply. Decency is a mandatory requirement: anyone on this site that describes themselves as "open-minded" is quite welcome to look elsewhere...and good luck if you want to "see what happens", honey I left you behind 5 minutes ago.
