About him
Hello, and thanks for taking the time to read my profile. Widowed some eleven years ago, my wife was resident in a dementia care home for some three years before she died. Shortly after this period, I met a new lady, but, alas she was taken ill with pneumonia, and passed away six years later with complications. I am looking to meet a really good friend to share some quality time with, and may be more.
I like the usual outings to the cinema, theater and concerts. Love a pub lunch, or an evening at a fine restaurant. I belong to a few music groups, and jazz is my passion. (Double Bass). Have been known to take long walks in the past, it's not too late to try again! Cosy nights in would be fun, although I am still trying to get to grips with cooking for one! May be you could help me improve my skills! For many years, I was a member of Round Table and Rotary. So, if you need someone for that special 'do', I know how to behave!
I think I am honest, trustworthy,, caring and considerate, having the capacity to listen and understand the points of view of others. Don't really want to be glued t0 a lot of TV, except for the annual Tour De France coverage!
My family are important to me (two daughters, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren). I often meet up with them, depending on the diary. They are very supportive towards me. My most recent interest is to take up cycling again! Could be fun? Don't worry, the beard can go! I look forward to hearing from you.
