Confident, outgoing, hospitable, affectionate and spontaneous; competent and outwardly conventional but with an adventurous and independent streak. Public school and university educated (with study abroad and a post grad professional qualification).Well travelled with a second home in one of the loveliest parts of Europe. Many interests both practical and intellectual to share - classical music (particularly early and Baroque music) and opera, art, stock exchange and property investment, finance, world affairs and European languages . Not sporty (and not one for country walks) but used to be a keen skier . I have a busy life with lots of good friends and acquaintances and business matters to attend to. I can honestly say I never feel bored - but would like to meet someone special for the next big adventure. It would be great to find a chap with an affectionate and demonstrative nature, sociable (though happy with his own company),sensitive to the needs of others and with a generosity of spirit; well travelled and retaining a sense of adventure.He'd need to believe, like me, that life is fun and for living to the full - and as a result, find there are never enough hours in the day .My ideal would be a man who is still intellectually curious (and stimulating), with quite highbrow tastes and lots of commonsense and emotional intelligence; not a cold fish but not necessarily the life and soul of the party. Almost certainly Public /Grammar School and university educated and probably with a successful City/business/financial/legal/profession al background; ideally a "townie" but with an appreciation of the countryside. Cultured (probably a listener to Radios 3 and 4 rather than a television watcher) and with a love of classical music .A visitor to exhibitions at the BM/RA/Tate. Useful if he could speak a little German.I'd hope he had enough money to fund his hobbies - ideally music and theatre, maybe property or stock exchange investment, perhaps gardening and travel to the European back of beyond - and enjoy a good standard of living .Not a slave to a smart car or fanatically house proud. Not too sports-mad (though I could share an enthusiasm for golf, rowing, rugby, shooting and skiing ) but reasonably active (health permitting) and not averse to cats (I have beautiful fluffy Birman)!
