About her
I'm hoping to attract, a partner who wants a balanced, rich experience with someone who wants a 'complete' mature relationship with an open-minded intelligent, warm, female. I would like to enrich my life, by sharing interests & outlooks as well as looking forward to having new areas to explore. I enjoy life and socialise easily.
I have close links to my three children, now all parents, married with grandchildren, some involved in careers. Both of us will have ongoing contacts with families and/or close friends and maybe interest groups, which are essential to our lives and will need to be continued.
At times I’ve been married, lived abroad, divorced and been a single parent with a busy career. I had a great education which developed my love of culture, history, theatre, classical music, ballet and opera, all of which I still feed my soul.
I prefer to be outdoors, garden teas and lunches, uncrowded beaches, historic buildings, but wood stoves, more reading & Radio 3 & 4 in Winter. I read frequently, attempted watercolours, enjoy choir, play piano, but I'm only just more than a novice. I enjoy regular swimming, (a slow half a mile), gardening, walking. cooked and baked ! Years ago I managed a basic level sailing certificate, and learnt to jive - neither were really my natural habitat!
Liberal in thought, socialist (small 's'), and 'Green', interested in social affairs and politics (but not party member).. I had a career which was people centred, later on, took an academic post. These days I manage a listed building renovation, bought with friends, (think 'not so grand, Grand Designs') which I've converted into 6 flats. It gives me a great place to live.
I have always loved being in France and, Italy, Tuscan hill towns, architecture, local restaurants & trying to chat. Enjoyed cruising more than I thought, It was a 'classical music special'.
At home I dress casually - mainly jeans, but can dress up if necessary although not keen on fancy dress. My home, like me, is a work in progress!

I am looking for someone with a welcoming smile, who laughs easily but knows when to take life seriously and who can enjoy an intelligent female who wants a complementary, relationship. A woman who is still a soft, warm person who will attempt to add to your life. I am looking for a relationship which hopefully might develop easily, with no pressure to either rush, or limit, what I hope might progress towards a long-term partnership with increasing commitment towards a monogamous relationship.(not sure how popular that is these days!).
Always useful to start with enough similarities to enjoy each other’s company and add to outings but it's hard, if not impossible, to be prescriptive and such a rare thing to find a close, loving partner and yet????
