About her
This is the difficult bit! According to my friends I am funny, attractive, sociable, interesting and a good friend to have around. I am a very active person who much prefers to be out there doing things. I love to travel and have been lucky enough to visit most areas of the world, although there are always more interesting places to visit on my list. At home, I walk the hills regularly going on walking holidays at least twice a year and I try to get to the gym 2-3 times each week. I enjoy horse riding and owned my own for a long time until work commitments got in the way.
My interests are wide ranging and I am very committed to the green agenda, actively supporting many environmental organisations and doing a lot of voluntary work in my community. I love going to the theatre (where would we be without Stratford) and am as comfortable with traditional productions as new, avant-garde ones. I also enjoy going to live concerts - where my musical tastes are very wide - from Puccini to Coldplay and Bach to Snow Patrol, although, as a child of the '60s I still love all that early pop stuff (Beatles, Stones etc).
Gentler pursuits include reading (I have very wideranging tastes and recently I have read Hilary Mantel, Robert Harris, Ken Follett and Margaret Atwood), doing the Times crossword, Killer suduko, jigsaw puzzles and playing Scrabble with friends (including the highly addictive 'words with friends' on my IPad!!) I quite like gardening but do get frustrated when seeds don't germinate!
I am a very straightforward person; I believe in absolute honesty, integrity and faithfulness in a relationship and hope that I can meet someone who feels the same.

My ideal match would be a well educated, independent, interesting man who has a good sense of humour and who shares at least some of my interests and values. Personality is always most important but it would be great if you were physically attractive as well; the 'wow' factor on that first date is pretty important!!
Other than this, I can't be more prescriptive as I know there are many great people out there whom I would love to meet.
