About him
Old fashioned but very modern Englishman (in sense used 30 years ago), failed (probably) intellectual, seeks a well spoken lady with sharp conversation skills.
Shal I go first? I am probably a little unconventional in that I have had a wide variety of jobs, homes and experiences (some not for revealing on first meeting). Financially I have enough to enable me to live comfortably for the rest of my life ('comfortably'?), but I own no large house, travel often on one of my 3 scooters, and currently know Vietnam well due to helping a disabled brother there. I am just back from Copenhagen (where I rode GPS enabled bicycles) and will shortly spend 6 days in a disused monastery near Rome.
Horribly scarred for life (probably) by being sent to boarding school until the age of 18, and obviously falling hopelessly for the first French woman I met, I have 3 delightful bi-lingual daughters. I love the business of languages (I am fluent in French, even if I maintain a 'mignon' accent).
A 4 year attempt at life in Colombia, I am now back in London (living in a little pocket of Englishness squashed between Brixton and Peckham). I am looking for a sharp, affectionate woman who loves conversation (and debate) as much as I.
If you only read the Guardian I am probably not your type.
I have faults (I am a man), which include using brackets too much (I like to think I am droll).
