Hello, thank you for reading my profile. Friends would say that I am interesting to be with- life's too short to be boring and staid in your ways. I'm open to new experiences and challenges. I love travelling and learning new things about people and the world.
I would be a loyal, supportive and loving partner and am very family/animal orientated. I'm very close to my two adult daughters and grandchildren so would welcome getting involved with any family or pets you may have.
I enjoy travelling but can't walk as much as l used to, enjoy all sorts of music, theatre and films, reading and doing puzzles and am an enthusiastic member of my local pub quiz team. I'll read almost anything and have, since retiring, become more interested in gardening, collecting and politics and conspiracy theories! I'm quite right of centre so I'll be upfront and say it's not likely I'd be very compatible with someone who is extremely left wing orientated or a woke Liberal or Green!
Although I'm early 70s, people tell me I act much younger and, as they say, age is just a number.

Someone who is intelligent (and a good speller!), witty, caring and still in love with exploring what life has to offer but is also happy just to chill out together at home doing a crossword, watch a film or potter in the garden. Most importantly, someone who values family life and loyalty as very essential factors in a relationship. A travel companion who can help make somewhere local seem just as much of an adventure as a jungle safari. I often go to the Regents centre to see a concert or talk. Someone who loves all animals and is tolerant of young children. I have a cat but l like dogs too.
I have some pet hates, I'm afraid, - smoking is top of that list, a smelly, disgusting habit, and I wouldn't be that compatible either with someone who gets drunk, takes drugs or gambles a lot and who can't manage money. I'm not really very keen on facial hair, as it's so scratchy, sorry, or tattoos or piercings but that's a personal preference and, obviously, personality and compatibility is the most important thing. I like people with an enquiring mind but you don't have to have qualifications or a high flying job to prove that. Remember Fred Housego, who won Mastermind, was a taxi driver. I'm happy to meet up with anyone once because personality is the most important thing and you can't really judge whether someone is on your wavelength and has a similar sense of humour ( wacky and irreverent preferably!) by reading a profile.
