I have lived abroad for many years and had some exciting travelling experiences. My daughter currently lives in Hong Kong so I visit her frequently. Since being back in the UK I have enjoyed exploring European cities and places closer to home. I lead an active outdoor lifestyle and enjoy reading, gardening and walking. I love the country side especially the Yorkshire Dales and am a county girl at heart. I have had an interesting life. I was a teacher in UK and abroad. I am involved in volunteering with two local charities one of which is conserving the habitat of the red squirrel in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. My friends tell me I am an interesting person.

As I love being outside and active, I would like to meet someone outdoorsy as I am fit for my age and like exploring new places and seeing new things. I don't mind if my partner has different interests as that widens my horizons. Honesty, thoughtfulness and kindness are qualities that i would look for in a partner. At the end of the day what I am really looking for is companionship- a soul mate. It wouId be lovely to have someone to make me smile so a good sense of humour would be great. I think one of the best things is to have someone to share things with. It could be having that first cup of tea in the morning admiring the garden and vegetable patch or walking down the Seine in Paris.
