I can be quite entertaining, generally good company, well read and culturally informed. I think of myself as ready to try new things. Reasonably active, but not one who believes that the gym is a must do.

After my wife died, I took up bell ringing, became a governor at a local primary school, began supporting a charitable Arts Foundation. I went back to the Twinning Committee (with a French town). I enjoy church, reading, photography, going to the cinema, concerts, galleries, museums, National Trust. I don't believe in physical activities as a form of entertainment, but as a means to an end - I walk the dogs (might walk to take photographs), I would cycle as a means of getting somewhere. Just to be inconsistent, I used to sail, but the Lugger hasn't had her keel wet for a long time.
The choice of self-descriptors is incomplete. Where is "My manly chest has dropped to where my waist used to be"? "I used to be 5'8" but I seem to have shrunk"?
I used to wear glasses but I now only need them for reading - following my cataract operations.
I collect books, cameras and (some say) junk.
I like dark chocolate, malt whiskey, americano with milk.
I like cooking, and haven't poisoned anyone yet.
I like spending time with my six daughters (her three, my two and our one) and ten grandchildren.
