I was once privileged to enjoy an unforgettable celebration with the Grande Sommelier winner of France and Europe in the year 2000 witnessing champagne being opened with a sabre for the first time.
Spending time in the kitchen reminiscing & practising my attempts of culinary delights is usually enhanced with an aperitif!
A light crisp dry white, a full-bodied, red a rosé from my favourite rosé region, Provence.
Having lived/worked there for 10 years I am a passionate Francophile but Italy is a real favourite too taking a scooter or car journey to the likes of Cinque Terra or the amazing Bussana Vecchia in Luguria.
I have recently taken a part time job taking a student with special needs to his delightful special school set in 23 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside then return him home at the end of the day.
Its varied sometimes challenging but very rewarding and I really enjoy it.
I am only required during school term time; so, it allows generous free time too.
