I don’t believe in saving the fun stuff for retirement, I think there should be something in every day that brings joy.
I’ve lived an interesting life, travelled widely, been to both the Arctic and the Antarctic, lived and worked overseas, learnt to fly a plane, had a few adventures along the way…
Health and fitness are important to me, I do bootcamp, barre and Pilates classes every week and I’m insufferable if I don’t get a walk every day! At weekends you’ll generally find me hiking in the wilds of Kent with a group of friends, followed by lunch in the pub.
I like to socialise and spend time with friends and family and I enjoy entertaining at home.
I love to cook but I hate clearing up afterwards, so my house rule is - if I’ve catered you’re doing the dishes! I spent a lot of time in Asia so I’m a fan of bold flavours.
I love to travel and explore new places but I’d rather be seeing the sights and experiencing the local culture than lazing on a beach. I am more than happy to chill with a book and a cocktail and watch the sunset though.
I have a full-time job with a global charity, I’d like to work less but I’m not ready to stop altogether. I’m also a Trustee for another charity and I volunteer at my local performing arts centre. It’s important to me to give back to the community and I’d like to meet someone with similar values.
I like to think I’m fairly easy-going and uncomplicated, I’m interested in everything from the arts to sports and am always open to learning something new. I tend to find humour in most things and am generally the first to laugh at myself when I do something foolish (which is far too often!).

I do love a nerd! Otherwise someone who is curious, kind and funny and has a variety of interests from books to theatre to windswept walks on the coast.
