I'm honest, trustworthy, kind and a romantic. Easy going and have a good sense of humour. I like meeting people and going out. Happy to wine and dine. Retired now but still very active.
I love a wide range of music from classical to rock, from reggae to country and even line-danced many years ago when it was popular. As a musician I play bass guitar in a classic rock covers band. I am young for my age and most people guess I'm early 60's which is a great compliment. It just goes to show that age is just a number.
I've travelled worldwide and would love to do more preferring interesting places rather than just the beach. I also like visiting heritage places of interest, museums, art galleries and National Trust properties.
I own a large 16ft sailing dinghy but haven't sailed it for quite a few years and the boat now needs some love before the next trip. I have been an RNLI member for many years as I believe they do a great job despite receiving no government aid.
I like reading books, fiction and non-fiction. Like animals but don't have pets as I'm allergic to some although not as bad as I use to be. Cats and dogs may be a problem. Also enjoy watching films; romantic, period and crime dramas, mysteries, sci-fi and fantasy. For sport I enjoy watching formula one and the occasional footie match, both from the sofa.
I try to keep fit and exercise daily but I'm not obsessed with it. I love going on country walks and I do a weekly Nordic walk with a group. Used to go camping when my family were young. I live in a village surrounded by green fields. My house has a large garden which also keeps me fit.
My late wife and I were soul mates, married young and we made it to our golden wedding anniversary before she passed away two years ago. I'm starting to travel and going out again now and looking for that special lady to share the experiences with.

If you've read my profile and still interested then there is hope. I'm looking for someone with similar interests to share but I'm broad-minded and open to new ideas. Should have good conversation, a sense of humour and must be a non-smoker. Should be reasonably fit, like visiting places of interest, music and the arts, going out, eating out and a desire to travel including short breaks and holidays. I'm not much good at cooking so would be a bonus if you can. I'm happy to compromise to make the relationship work. Hoping to make some new happy memories.
